Long time no post...
It's time to get ready for her arrival. We're very anxious and excited of her impending arrival. I'm reaching the finishing line soon. Keep my fingers (&toes) cross that she's doing fine inside and especially once she's born. :)
she can consider coming out next week-if she wants but somehow I would want to keep her safe and sound inside until 38th week.
Well, let me teach her some simple Maths from today onwards by counting down with her to the arrival of this world.
I believe Life will be more brillant with her around. :)

Many things have happened...
After the unforgettable event happened in May, or should say it's not only in May, but it has stretched from end Feb till mid May, it took us awhile to accept... I believe he's very upset about what has happened... Me too... Perhaps we're not fated at that point of time? Or we are not that ready ... There must be a reason for it, I believe ...
I'm very thankful that my husband has been taking good care of me eversince we have met. (Not only my husband, but my mother-in-law, sister, my parents and relatives.)
Thank you, Dear. :)

Twilight Phenomenon and soundtracks
The movie is Twilight.
I've no idea what "Twilight" was. All I knew was my husband and I wanted to watch "Bolt" but sadly, it was no longer showing so we've to settle for something called "Twilight". Both of us were clueless, didn't anticipate much and keep our fingers cross that it better be something good. We just hoped that it's not any scary movie or anything like "scary movie" or else will waste our $10.50.
After sat inside the cinema for 2hours watching this 95% romance and 5% action packed movie, fall in love with this movie. Well undeniably, I like the pale-white vampire, Edward, the exotic beauty, Bella and the romanitc, yet, forbidden story between them. Hmm... I like the movie! :D
After watching this movie, I wanted to find out more about the movie and the soundtracks. So, I google "Twilight".
To my surprise, Twilight has created such a phenomemon in US, or should say worldwide! It has such a big fan base that can compare to Harry Potter or much more. The vampire Edward has captured so many young and old girls' hearts!
And never did I know that the pheonmenon happened in Singapore too! My sis & I have witnessed the Twilight Phenomenon at Orchard Ceinleisure and we will never forget what happened.
1st Pheonmenon:
When Edward made his 1st appearance in the movie, the girls in the cinema SCREAMED! YES, THEY SCREAMED, giggled and talked among themsevles "Oh my gosh, he is so handsome!"
I whispered to my sis "Wow... oh my gosh... Have you ever seen such things in cinema before?! I have never seen or heard such things in AMK Hub cinema!? "
"Neither do I", My sis replied.
2nd Pheonmenon:
The 2nd wave of screaming and gigglings from the cinema was much louder than the 1st one. Well, can't blame them as Edward and Bella kissed for the very first time. Screaming, "Oh my god" are in the air ...
( My sis and i were trying to enjoy the romantic kissing scene but then the screming and "OMG" are simply too overwhelming in the cinema! We ended up laughing.)
There're many rounds of screaming and "Oh-my-god" through out the entire movie. But there's a guy/boy that made me go OMG.
3rd Pheonmenon:
He SCREAMED and curved himself in a ball when Edward was fighting with James in the ballet studio. His action really amazed me... Come on, the fighting scene was a far cry from those action packed movie like Jackie Chan / James Bond's one. So I couldn't understand why he looked so scared!
4th Pheonmenon:
Well, sounds like the success of Twilight goes to the handsome pale white Vampire Edward and exotic beauty Bella, huh? Nah, the soundtracks of this movie are thumbs up!
My personal fav - "Bella's lullaby" by Cater Burwell.
The music slowed, transforming into something softer. The music grew unbearably sweet or sad.
Enjoy ~
Ther is another version of Bella's lullaby. Just as soothing as the official one.
Another song from Twilight. If you have watched the movie, this song, "Flightless Bird" is played when Edward and Bella are dancing on the Prom Night.
Perhaps I should wait for the DVD instead of watching it in cinema just in case some aunties screaming next to me.

(It's me again.)
Choir, I've observed something today. Something positive and encouraging.
You are taking initaitive and start to think and plan what you're going to do (for your task!). I've seen that some of you started to write down what you're going to do or your questions on the yellow papers I've given you. It's a good start. I can see that you're making improvement. KEEP IT UP!

National Junior College Open House on 18 Oct
This school is really patriotic - red and white everywhere.
There're 2 things amazed me when I visited NJ.
1st - young looking boys/ girls visited the open house, together with their parents.
I thought it's an open house... to secondary school students?! But why on earth they are there?! Oh... later then I realised that it's actually NJ offered Integrated Programme (IP) to P6 students. NJ is one of those few JCs that offered through train programme so that they don't have to sit for O levels and take the A level straightaway when they are in their 6th year.
Hmm... it must be very stressful to study in such competitve environment...
2nd - I was rather baffled by one of the store owners.
I ordered chicken cutlet that comes with fries and some vege. I've never liked to eat fries, except Macdonald's and Mos Burgers' ones.
Me: "Can I change from fries to potatoes?"
Auntie: "NO".
Me: "Can you give me meshed potatos and I PAY for it?"
Auntie: "NO"
=.= ...
Eventually I polised up everything, except leaving a pile of fries behind.
What a waste!
But, anyway, it's not a waste to visit the Open House. :)
My first time ...
Look at the needles poking at my right leg (another one on the left leg)! That's right. It's acupuncture!
My ankles have been giving me problems for long time. Sometimes, the pain gave me headache too.
It's time to do something!
When the doctor poked the needle into my skin, OUCH! I felt the biting sensation. The most fascinating part is after inserting the needles into my skin, the nurse connected wires to the needle! Immediately, i could feel the pulsing sensation sent to my body! it's kind of like a mini electric shock ...
After 15mins, the doctor removed the clips and needles. Here comes the BEST part ...
He massaged or rub my legs with so much force until I almost cried in pain ...
I was told that i've to go for at least for about 8 sessions...Well, as long as the pain is gone. :) And hopefully he can cure my swollen ankles which have been sprained for 5 times for each ankle...
I wonder how I walked last time... How could a person sprained his/her ankles 5 times on each leg?
Guess, I am the only person.

Visited ACJC Oepn House on 8 Oct!
I brought my Choir students to Anglo Chinese Junior College (ACJC) Open House.
Verdict ...:
100% FUN!
200% excitement for me as all my fond memories of JC life came back live (though I didn't study in ACJC)!
300% Eye - opening experience to all of us!
I learnt this quote today which I find it inspiring -"I'm a brightspark. Watch me shine."
For the remaining photos taken during the trip, pls click HERE or
click this URL: http://www.flickr.com/photos/juliana2608/sets/72157607857350971/
I certainly hope that whoever went with me today, has learnt something new today.
Personally, I like the the slogan on your goodie bag - "I'm a brightspark. Watch me shine".
TO 4N4 / choir/ whoever is reading this right now:
Each of you is a brightspark that is going to shine. Believe in yourself that you'll shine one day and I will certainly watch you shine. :)

ACJC open house on 8oct, wednesday.
I'd like to bring you to an Open House organised by Angolo Chinese Junior Colleage(ACJC) on 8October, from 1 to 6pm. Of course the venue is held at ACJC itself- Buona Vista. This is ACJC's website about the Open House: http://www.acjc.edu.sg/article/410
Meeting time: 2pm SHARP.
(And pls have your lunch before 2pm!)
Meeting veneu: Hougang MRT Control Station
Dress code: Be yourself!
(It's only an open house, and pls don't wear as if we're going for clubbing ok!
So pls wear casually. But I'm not encouraging you to wear slippers/ flip flops as it's not very appropriate.)
Ending time: latest 6pm - as that is the closing time of the CCA Open House.
Pls bring along your cameraphone / camera to take pictures and basic stationery.
Make sure there's sufficient money in your Ezlink Card as we're travelling from Hougang to Buona Vista and back home. It's quite a long distance.
Every year, almost every JC will organise an open house. The objective is to showcase their achievements/available programmes/courses/CCAs,etc to the existing potential sec4/5 students who may want to Jc, to parents and public too."Why must we go?"
Let me emphasise the objectives of us going there are to LEARN + at the same time it's a choir outing + it's an exposure to you as it's a junior colleage, not secondary school.
- I feel that it's a good opportunity for us to see how other school sets up an open house. It's a very big scale - much larger scale than our annual CCA Open House. We can learn from them and apply what they've done in our CCA orientation day'09/whatever programmes we've in the near future!
- Not only that, it's benefitting you in the long way. You may be asked to run an programme when you're in class/JC/ poly in the future :)
- CCAs booth may be set up. So we can go visit ACJC choir booth and of course other CCAs too.
Just to refresh some of your memory, for those of you who went with me to the Internation Choir and Dance Festival at Genting Highland in yr07, i.m sure you've an unforgettable experience, esp,the last day- when we watched the finale performance. One of the performance was performed by ACjc choirs. Some of you still commented that there're so few girls and yet could produce such loud n beautiful voices! And not forgetting there're some guys who sang with funny expressions that amazed the audiences? They snapped their fingers and sang Acapella (hope i spell correctly)? Since you enjoyed yourself so much , then why not see them LIVE?
- In addition,it may be an eye-opener experience 4 us to see what Jc life is all about and their available facilities.
- After your completion of Sec4/5, you will be moving on to either ITE/JC/poly. So, by going to a JC open house is actually helping you to look far - look beyond yourself now. You may think that O level is still faraway, but some of you are sitting for Os next year!
-Take it as another Choir outing!!!
"Who else are going?"
Jessica and jolyn will be joining us on tat day. (anymore seniors?) :):):)
"Hmmm.. I'm not sure if I can go leh..."
If you don't have any special program on 8oct, come and join us. I understand that u may want to celebrate with your friends on 8oct,as it's the last day of your exam.
Sure, definitely go ahead with your celebration AFTER 7pm on 8 October or after 8 October.
This open house is only an 1 day event. But you can still celebrate with your friends on 9 , 10 ,11 and 12 October! 4 CONSECUTIVE DAYS LEH!
Choir, give it a thought and reply me either thru sms or in the tag box.
I'll look forward to hearing a reply from u-if u can or can't go.
Linda, thank you for your reply. We'll take many pictures. :)
So far these are the people who can go:
1. Myself
2. Jessica
3. jolyn
4. Carine
5. Jiamin
6. Kai Ling
7. ?????????
Take care!

Selmat Hari Raya and Happy Children Day~
2 Big Children went to Sentosa for a little retreat and celebrate Happy Children Day at White Dog Cafe.
1st stop: Sentosa
Construction was ongoing on 1st October. Kid #1 and 2 couldn't help but wonder what they were building and look forward to coming again. :)
Kid #2 wanted to try this but the queue was toooooooooooo long. Waste of our time if we spent time queuing up. So let's do what we do best - walking and taking photos. Along the way, we've discovered different games that are played by adults and kids.
Games played by kids...
Games "played" by adults ...
and following the crowds ...
2nd stop: White Dog Cafe
The 2 Big Children are very hungry!!! So they headed back to the mainland and dined at White Dog Cafe at Vivo City.
Kid #2: "I want Mango Chicken!"
Kid #1: I want Baked Mussels ... and
Cowboy Pizza too !!!!!!
And the greedy Kid#1 ordered Lobster soup! So, Kid #2 must "fight back" by ordering Clam Chowder ... and
a Mocktail: Virgin Lychee Margarita (Verdict: Refreshing!)
and Dessert~! Is that pudding? Nah... is the marble dining table!
After 2 hours of dining, the 2 Big Children declared "NO MORE SPACES IN OUR TUMMY FOR DESSERTS!" although Kid #2 has a philosophy - "there is always a compartment for desserts."
Anyway, it's really late and need to head back home to rest.
A indeed Happy Children Day!
